This page says what happens to your details if you ask me for a guide or send me a message. It is written in plain English, because a privacy notice nobody can read is not much use to anyone.
Who runs this site
Lucy Harper Finds is run by Oceanus Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 12684948, with its registered office at 82a James Carter Road, Mildenhall, Bury St. Edmunds, England, IP28 7DE. Oceanus Group Ltd decides what happens to the details collected here, and is responsible for looking after them.
What is collected
- If you ask for a free guide: your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, and which guide you asked for.
- If you use the contact form: your name, your email address and your message.
That is all. There is no account to create, nothing to pay for, and no other information is asked for or kept.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics, no advertising and no tracking script on any page, so your visit is not followed around.
If you follow a link from here to Amazon, Amazon sets its own cookies on their site. That is outside my control and covered by their own privacy terms.
Links that earn
Some links to Amazon are affiliate links, which means a small commission may be paid if you buy something after following one. It costs you nothing extra and it never changes what I choose to write about.
Where your details are kept, and who helps
Sign-ups and messages are stored on this site's own server, and a copy of the email list is held in Oceanus Group Ltd's own system so the list does not depend on any one supplier. Emails are sent through Postmark, which handles delivery on our behalf. No details are sold, rented or passed to anyone else.
The emails you get
You get the guide you asked for, and now and then something else I have found. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and you will not be emailed again. The two lists are kept apart: if you asked for the guide for stallholders you are not sent the one for shoppers, and the other way round.
How long it is kept
Your details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for them to be deleted. A record that you unsubscribed is kept afterwards, so that you are not accidentally emailed again.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and it will be done. If you are not happy with how your details have been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
